ABOUT US

The Police Retirees of Ontario Incorporated (P.R.O.), was founded in 1992, by a group of retired police officers for the purpose of establishing an organization which would be dedicated to serving an exclusive membership restricted to retired law enforcement personnel of every rank and classification, their spouses, the widow and widowers of both active and retired law enforcement personnel.

To enable the P.R.O. to fulfill its obligations to its membership, and ensure compliance with its aims and objectives, the Corporation hosts sponsored fundraising events in many communities throughout Ontario each year.

While the Police Retiree of Ontario is not a registered charity, we have been able to donate in excess of $1,000,000 to children-oriented causes and charities throughout Ontario, in addition to providing PRO Bears to organizations throughout the province thanks to the generous support of our sponsors

The PRO teddy bear drive supports youth services all across Ontario. Here are some smile stories. Cities in Ontario get contacted to receive bears. If your community could benefit from this program please reach out!

We truly appreciate your thoughtful contribution to the Police Retirees of Ontario. The
time spent to raise funds for the teddy bear drive was an outstanding show of dedication
to the community.
Your contribution allows us to continue our teddy bear drive by distributing bears to
emergency service units across Ontario to place in the hands of children in a distressed
situation. This helps calm the moment to address the emergency.
