Charities

The Police Retirees of Ontario Incorporated (P.R.O.), was founded in 1992 and strives to fulfill our mandate to assist Police Services through awareness and advocacy and to assist retired police throughout Ontario.

The P.R.O. is actively working with communities across Ontario on current initiatives, such as the P.R.O. Teddy Bear and the ongoing Beyond the Badge Magazine, in order to fulfill our mandate. Thanks to our supporters, at the end of each fiscal year surplus funds are donated to children’s charities across the province. Our P.R.O. teddy bear initiative continues to grow and thanks to our supporters we have been able to donate teddy bears to over 30 community organization throughout Ontario so far and are working hard to reach more!

One of many ways we the P.R.O. works to fulfill its obligations to its membership, and ensure compliance with its aims and objectives, the P.R.O. hosts and attends sponsored fundraising events in many communities throughout Ontario each year.

Since 1992, the Police Retirees of Ontario has been able to donate in excess of $1,000,000 to children-oriented causes and charities throughout Ontario.
